Summer
Kitzbuehel is the most legendary sports town in the Alps, in winter and in summer. Almost before the snow melts in the mountains near Kitzbuehel the sporting summer starts. Straight after the snow has gone “The Streif”, with its 170 km of running and walking trails are open challenging you to start your endurance training and the 1,200 km bike routes are waiting for the first "king of the road". In recent years, numerous major bike events have cemented Kitzbuehel with a reputation as a top Alpine racing bike destination.
Hiking is by far the most popular sport in Kitzbuehel during the summer, because the resort with its network of well-maintained trails is a true walker's paradies.
With its diverse and varied terrain to suit all disciplines, Kitzbuehel is a real hotspot for cyclists.
